2017-2018 Season

Dear fellow NHYHA members:
The hockey season is fast approaching us and I just wanted to send out a few reminders.  Registration is open on our web site www.newhartfordyouthhockey.com.  For the 4th consecutive year despite another 3% ice cost increase from the town, NHYHA will be keeping registration costs at the same price. We are very proud of that considering other local organizations continue to raise rates. We as a board have been very careful with all purchases and ice costs over the past 5 years to ensure our members are paying the lowest costs possible.

NHYHA will also be investing a large amount of its savings into additional clinics and apparel for the kids. We plan on doing power skating and goalie clinics with some extra ice that we have. Also in the works will be to purchase warm up suits for the kids so they can show off their team pride. Again, welcome to another year at NHYHA. We appreciate you having your kids play here. If you have any questions please feel free to call or email me at any time. Thanks, and enjoy the rest of your summer.

2017-2018 NHYHA Pee Wee Travel Coaching Staff

NHYHA is happy to announce the creation of a second non-tournament bound pee wee team for the 2017-2018 season. The team will be coached by head coach Eric Engdahl.

Eric has coached youth hockey for several years. Originally from Wisconsin, Eric moved to the area 3 years ago. His son Jack was on the New Hartford high school team and is graduating this year. Eric still enjoys coaching and we contacted him to see if he was interested in the job. Eric is a USA level 4 coach. We are excited to bring him aboard for the 2017-2018 season. Welcome Eric!!
Eric will be assisted by Utica College women’s team head coach Dave Clausen and his wife Amy Clausen.  Both Amy and Dave played collegiate hockey at Hamilton College.

If you have any questions regarding this team or any of NHYHA teams please feel free to call me at 315-404-4737.

Thank you,
Chris Moran
