Dear fellow NHYHA members:
The hockey season is fast approaching us and I just wanted to send out a few reminders. Registration is open on our web site www.newhartfordyouthhockey.com. For the 4th consecutive year despite another 3% ice cost increase from the town, NHYHA will be keeping registration costs at the same price. We are very proud of that considering other local organizations continue to raise rates. We as a board have been very careful with all purchases and ice costs over the past 5 years to ensure our members are paying the lowest costs possible.
NHYHA will also be investing a large amount of its savings into additional clinics and apparel for the kids. We plan on doing power skating and goalie clinics with some extra ice that we have. Also in the works will be to purchase warm up suits for the kids so they can show off their team pride. Again, welcome to another year at NHYHA. We appreciate you having your kids play here. If you have any questions please feel free to call or email me at any time. Thanks, and enjoy the rest of your summer.
Dear fellow NHYHA Members:
I personally would like to welcome all newcomers to NHYHA as well as our long standing returning members. I am happy to announce another year of no increases for your registration rates. This becomes difficult to do year after year as our ice costs increase around 2% each year. Without all of your hard work at the tournaments, golf tournament, concession stand and whatever other fundraising you work hard at we would not be able to keep rates the same. So keep up the good work. 2016-2017 brings about some challenges,as we all know the comets organization has become a big name in this area. They have formed some teams that have taken kids away from not only us but other local organizations that players called home. This year the comets embark on their first season as a tier 1 organization. We as a board had talks with Rob Esche about combining forces but in the end the board decided it wasn’t right at this time. We wish them luck! Here in NH we pride ourselves on: reasonable rates, good coaching, and a playing atmosphere that is very competitive but fun at the same time. We are a small organization that in the end is trying to get kids to one day play for their own High School teams. This season we will again be having LTS, mites, 2 pee wee teams, bantam team and a 16u midget team. Registration will be the same as last year all online. Don’t forget to get your new USA hockey number before registering. All registration info and links can be found on our web site newhartfordyouthhockey.com
Once again welcome and thanks for choosing new Hartford youth hockey. Good luck this season. Any questions feel free to email me or call or text at 404-4737.
Registration for the NHYHA 2015-2016 season is now available online! NHYHA is excited to announce that for a third year in a row we have managed to keep registration costs the same. This is despite an approximate 2% increase in ice costs as well as additional fees associated with running our organization.
We are able to keep costs down thanks to the hard work of this association’s members. The Mite tournament, Travel tournament and third annual golf tournament were a big success! NHYHA is financially strong!
Like last year, all association members (with the exception of Learn to Skate) are required to register online. For LTS you can either register online or in person (date & time TBA).
Here are the registration fees for the 2015-2016 season (note that these fees include a $100 raffle booklet):
- Midgets: $395
- Pee Wee $675
- Squirt $675
- Mite $475
- LTS Full Year (October-March) $100 (free after you sell your raffle tickets)
Along with the above registration fees, each non-LTS family will be required to pay a $100 ($50 for midgets) concession stand fee. This fee will be collected at the time of registration.
This fee will help NHYHA pay for individuals to work the concession stand in the event that an association member does not volunteer to work the stand.
At the end of the year, NHYHA will refund each family for the hours that they’ve worked. Like in the past, each family is required to work 9 concession stand hours (Midgets 4 hrs). Note that for LTS only families there isn’t a requirement to work the concession stand.
